This website has information provided by Ruth Lee, Amelia Volpe, Raitah Jinnat, Tejus Bhalla, and Christopher Lee from 822. Our goal for this website was to bring up the issue of poverty and housing, but we did it in a way that would involve the issue during the Progressive Era versus the issue today. This was done in order to show how long poverty has been looming as an issue, and it’s not something relatively recent. In addition, we also provided a solution for the issue of housing having an impact on people’s income. This website is to acknowledge the increasing percent of poverty, taxes, debt, and the lack of responsibility shown for these problems. To target the legislative government, we wish to shine light upon a recessive problem between the progressive and present era.

The Problem: How society does not have the mobility to upgrade the poor. From poor living conditions to food stamps and homeless shelters, there are just too many ways for the working class to be stuck in poverty.

We hope that you enjoy reading our articles about what we bring to light, and maybe take initiative to help in today’s society.
